The Best Worst Day Ever

The best worst day ever began last night. Actually, it probably began a few days ago when my friends and I realized we were not going to make it to DC today for the Capital Pride festival. None of our schedules were coming together to make the trip.

So, last night I was just lurking about twitter, feeling bummed about Capital Pride, when I ran into mm romance author SJ Frost who encouraged me to join in on the festivities of Ethan Day's list serve at yahoo. I decided if I couldn't celebrate Gay Pride at the Capital then I may as well participate in Gay Day. Really glad I did. It was insane fun! And I won a book from erotica author Kimberly Gardner. Yay, me!

Before all the excitement began at Gay Day I was messing with this website and managed to mess up my banner. Yep, I shouldn't have done it. I've already proven more than once I am not a web guru. What I really don't understand is why the new banner shows up on every page except this one where my blog is. If anyone reading has a magic wand I'd appreciate if you waved it my way. I still haven't figured out how to fix it. It bothers me so much that I've put my "about me" page as the front page of the website until I sort it out.

After all the madness began at Gay Day I ran into a college friend on Ethan's list. It really is a small world. We reconnected. Chatted on Facebook for a bit, then got on the phone. It turns out she just got her first publishing contract for a mm romance! I am so happy for her. We are going to coffee tomorrow and I am going to pick her brain. But, later tonight I have the honor of getting to read her final draft. How cool is that? I would link you to her author site, but she doesn't have it up and running yet. As soon as it is I will pass it on.

I dont' know how many times I can say this, but the mm romance community is amazing. I have made so many friends and I am ever amazed at how generous they are. The rainbow of goodness just keeps shining it's light over me. So, Ethan thank you for Gay Day. SJ thank you for being at the right place at the right time. Kimberly thank you for adding a book to the giveaway today. Y'all saved my day from being utterly sucktastic!
