Two Weeks Today
Today officially marks the two week anniversary of this website and two weeks till my birthday!
The past two weeks have been amazing. So much has happened and I can see this is just the beginning of what is to come. It's all exciting, shiny, and new. I feel like a kid in a candy store with a big wad of cash.
Yesterday I told you about my friend and MM Romance author West Thornhill. (I promised a link and there it is). Last night I stayed up until 4am and read West's draft of her yet to be published book. Fans of MM Romance you will not be disappointed. Thank goodness this is a series because I could not put the manuscript down! I want more. That is all I can tell you.
Today was our local celebration for West and her success. Amanda Corlies (another budding MM Romance author) and I got West out of the house for several hours. We had a great time. We had two older women eavesdropping on us and they told us we were enchanting with our laughter. We had a great time talking with them. Even though I think we shocked them with our male male conversation topics.
Update on the month of me... it looks like a big birthday bash is being planned. Pool party, grilling, dancing, and my oldest daughter has decided we need to play beer pong as well! It's going to be a good time for all. In lieu of gifts I am going to ask everyone to make a donation to The Trevor Project. The Trevor Project is hosting their annual benefit, Trevor LIVE, in NYC on June 27 (which is my birthday). Daniel Radcliffe will be presented with The Trevor Hero Award.
If you are not familiar with The Trevor Project here is their mission statement:
The Trevor Project is determined to end suicide among LGBTQ youth by providing life-saving and life-affirming resources including our nationwide, 24/7 crisis intervention lifeline, digital community and advocacy/educational programs that create a safe, supportive and positive environment for everyone.
I am off to write and listen to my birthday playlist. I leave you with this:
