Banned Books Week

As most everyone knows it's Banned Books Week. I hope you've read some of your favorite banned books or taken some time to research censorship and what you can do to help organizations who fight censorship. One of the organizations I help out is the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund aka CBLDF. And as it turns out they've gotten the rights to The Comics Code Authority Seal of Approval-- yes, it's ironic and all the comic blogs are talking about it. Read more about it at CBLDF.

I don't like censorship. I firmly believe that every individual has the right to decide for themselves what is appropriate. Fighting censorship is still important. We might think we are in the 21st Century, but there is still much to do to protect artists (and by that I mean all artists whether it's visual or written, etc).
